Artisan in Five Calzoni
Here I go again, raving about Artisan Bread in Five Minutes A Day. I just can't get enough! We had the dough in the fridge, so we decided to try calzoni this time. Of course they were amazing!
I made a veggie spinach calzone with just a little cheese and my homemade sauce, it was very tasty! I loved the nice crusty calzone. Josh wanted his "man meat," so he cooked up some sausage with fennel and added roasted peppers and he always loads on the cheese:)
We were both pleased with our calzoni. They were so easy to make and it was fun making our own. They were huge so we had leftovers for lunch. Oh wait, I had leftovers for lunch, Joshua ate the entire thing. He REALLY enjoyed his:) I forgot to take photos of the veggie calzone. Sorry! I promise it was good.
Go buy the book! You will understand my addiction once you do!

So my grandma (the sweets queen) LOVED your cookies. I think she asked me to email her the recipe 5 times :) My mom also ate TWO cookies- my mom NEVER eats sweets :)
You can't go wrong with calzones. These look terrific!
Ooh, that looks good. We make pizza all the time (pretty much weekly), but I never think to make calzones instead. I'll have to keep it in mind. I love ABin5, too. My current batch is based on the buttermilk bread recipe, but I didn't have buttermilk, so I used yogurt instead. It's pretty tasty. I'm thinking of using the last of it to make your monkey bread muffins. =)
Oh my god, that does look good!
I am with your husband, I need meat in my calzones!
I'm heading to Borders this weekend :) The calzones look gorgeous Maria!

I just reserved the book from the library - I can't wait! Veggie calzone sounds good but I must say, sausage and fennel is hard to beat.
I've made that artisan bread too. I've made it into cheese bread, cinnamon swirl bread, made biscuits from it, but never a calzone!!
Those are my favorites! Thanks for sharing!!
