Here I go again, raving about Artisan Bread in Five Minutes A Day. I just can't get enough! We had the dough in the fridge, so we decided to try calzoni this time. Of course they were amazing!
I made a veggie spinach calzone with just a little cheese and my homemade sauce, it was very tasty! I loved the nice crusty calzone. Josh wanted his "man meat," so he cooked up some sausage with fennel and added roasted peppers and he always loads on the cheese:)
We were both pleased with our calzoni. They were so easy to make and it was fun making our own. They were huge so we had leftovers for lunch. Oh wait, I had leftovers for lunch, Joshua ate the entire thing. He REALLY enjoyed his:) I forgot to take photos of the veggie calzone. Sorry! I promise it was good.
Go buy the book! You will understand my addiction once you do!
WOW! How wonderful do these look!! Love this cookbook also, youd think Id try something out of it by now!
ReplyDeleteLOOOVE calzones - that book sounds great!!
ReplyDeleteYUM! hahaha- love how much men can eat ;) Yours sounds great with tons of veggies and just a little cheese- exactly how I like it!
ReplyDeleteSo my grandma (the sweets queen) LOVED your cookies. I think she asked me to email her the recipe 5 times :) My mom also ate TWO cookies- my mom NEVER eats sweets :)
You can't go wrong with calzones. These look terrific!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that looks good. We make pizza all the time (pretty much weekly), but I never think to make calzones instead. I'll have to keep it in mind. I love ABin5, too. My current batch is based on the buttermilk bread recipe, but I didn't have buttermilk, so I used yogurt instead. It's pretty tasty. I'm thinking of using the last of it to make your monkey bread muffins. =)
