Name Change

On Saturday I will officially become a Lichty...a WHAT??? Yes, a LICHTY!!! Every time I tell people what my new name will be they react the same way...What??? How do you spell that??? Where does that name come from??? Say it again. Lickity??? NO, I said LICHTY!! (pronounced like Lickty.) Then I always here...are you sure you want to change your name? Yes, I am sure!!

On Saturday, June 14th I will be a Lichty. Don't get me wrong, I love being a Dixon and I always will be one at heart, but it is time to change the name. I know it will be a hassle...getting a new SS number, license, business cards, email, etc. but it will be worth it in the end! I am excited to become a Lichty!! Yes, A LICHTY!!!

LOL!! I went through the same thing Maria! One in every 20 people will actually pronounce Lichty correctly for meā€¦and I feel like giving them a big hug and a cookie when they do. My maiden name is Adamska so I have been used to a mispronounced last name my whole life.

I got it easy when I became a Smith! My maiden name wasn't to complex, but people would ask me how to spell it sometimes{it was Fowler...people would say "Flower" or "Sowler"??}. I'm excited for you...this name change is going to be the start of a new chapter in your life! How exciting!!!

Yeah! Congratulations. I thought Ealy would be much easier than Balagna, but you'd be surprised how many people butcher Ealy. They always think it's missing an 'r' and should be 'Early' or they'll say 'Elay'. Fun for you :) I can't wait to see pictures of your day.

Whitney told one of her professor's at Davis that it was pronounced LITCH - TY...

like LLLL - ITCH - TEE!!!

She knew she pronounced wrong, but didn't have the heart to rat herself out!

OOPS!
