Two Peas and Their Pod: Happy Birthday Pops!

Happy Birthday Pops!

Today is my daddy's birthday!! He lives far, far away and is even farther right now because he is in Brazil on business. I thought I would send my birthday wishes via our blog.

I am a daddy's girl, all the way!! I am lucky to have such an amazing father. He really is the best. I could go on and on and tell you why, but I don't want to embarrass him too much. He probably isn't happy I put another picture of him on our blog:)

In short, he is the reason I am the person I am today. I have learned so much from him...including his passion and love for the kitchen. I have shared some of his recipes before on our blog, but in case you missed them, I will highlight three of my favorites today.

First up are his cinnamon rolls, the world knows them as "Parry Rolls." They are the most delicious cinnamon rolls you will ever taste. I don't even bother trying or tasting another recipe, because I know it won't even come close.

Next up are his frozen cookies. These are a family favorite! I have been enjoying these since I was a wee little one! They are full of all of my favorite things!

And the last recipe I will highlight is my dad's potato roll recipe. These rolls are a must for every family dinner. Everyone loves them! He always makes two batches, no matter how many people will be at the table, because he knows everyone will be begging for more!!

I hope you enjoy my dad's recipes today! They are my favorite.
And a very Happy Birthday to the Pops! We love you lots!! Thanks for everything! Come visit us soon!! We sure do miss you!!

man, your dad is the best! I think I've mentioned this before on your blog, but I don't think my dad has ever baked anything in his entire life ... and he's 73! he's the best, too, though. Those cinnamon rolls look unbelievable!

First of all, that soup down below this post looks SO good. I just found out after 11+ years of marriage that my husband doesn't really care for soup! Humph. He'll eat it, but would rather have anything else instead. Now I'm "scared" to ever make soup again. I will though!
Happy Birthday to your Dad!
And YUM to all his delicious recipes! Gonna have to try the cinnamon rolls, see, I have a go-to recipe, but am tempted now!

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes to my dad! I will let him know!

Manggy- My dad hates having his picture taken and he really hates it when I share the photos with the world...oops!! He is a good sport though!

Katrina- Too bad your husband doesn't like soup, keep making it. I am sure there is one kind he will like!
Cutting cinnamon rolls with string is the only way to go! Glad you do it too!

Lincoln-Thanks for letting us watch the big game at your house! We love hanging out and cooking for you and your family.

Priscilla- Thanks! I loved my dress, maybe I will get it out and wear it around the house..ha!

How sweet. Your dad looks like a very nice man! I miss my dad(he passed a few years ago).
Whenever I had a question (about anything) he would have the answer. And if he didn't know the answer, he would dwell on it for days until he found out.
He also had a cinnamon roll recipe but didn't write it down.
I should make yours in honor of my dad! Thanks for sharing :)
