Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

My sister was sick over the weekend so we got to babysit the Aubers!! We had a ton of fun!! She is a true joy to be around. We danced, went to the park, colored, sang songs, baked cookies, etc.

Here are some photos from the weekend. That Aubrey is a silly one! I am also sharing my
oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe. I love these cookies! They are one of my "go to" cookies!! We baked these on Saturday and they didn't last long!

We had a dance party in our PJ's on Saturday!
Aubrey dancing with Baxter.

It was chilly out so we bundled up to go to the park, but Aubrey wanted her sunglasses too...and of course some candy!

Aubrey and Josh marching to the park!

Silly Aubs!!

Riding the horses! Giddy up!!

She loves swinging!! Hold on tight!

When we got back we had some lunch. Most of the yogurt
ended up on Aubrey's face!

She didn't want to take a nap so she started watching football with Uncle Josh.
It didn't take her long to crash. She fell asleep like this! Too funny!
I guess we wore her out!

Aunt Ria baked cookies for everyone!! Delicious!!
We had a great time with Aubrey!!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

½ c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1 1/3 c. flour
1 1/4 c. oats
Chocolate chips- I use a half of a bag. I prefer semi-sweet but use your favorite!

Combine sugars, butter, eggs, and vanilla. In a separate bowl combine the salt, baking powder, soda, flour. Add to wet ingredients. Mix it up! Add your oats and then your chocolate chips.

Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes! Don’t let them get too done…they are better when they are soft!

Makes about 2 ½ dozen cookies. You can double if you want more!

I'm glad ya'll had a great time. Hopefully you're not getting the "Since you like to babysit, surely you want a baby this instant" questions we get all the time. Unless ya'll want a baby, of course. :) Every time someone asks me, I add another ten years. As it stands now, I'll be 80 before we have children. :)
